Møntergården is Odense’s museum of local cultural history, whose task is to disseminate this history in and around Odense.
Creative Man – Exhibition on Funen Prehistory and Early History Visit the generally informative archaeological exhibition on prehistory and early history on Funen is featured on two floors of the Nyborgladen building, with ‘Creative Man’ on the ground floor, and on the first floor ‘Fine Funen Finds’, which is a more artefact-oriented presentation of the period from the earliest Palaeolithic Age up to and including the Viking Age.
Visitors can see hundreds of stone-age implements as well as a number of the most exceptional finds made on Funen in recent years – so-called ‘danefæ’ – which is lent out by the National Museum of Denmark for exhibiting at Odense City Museums.
